Twelve Days Of Fasting
Someone brought up that they were having difficulty with food, having previously been anorexic. We read Daniel 1 where Daniel and his friends asked for different foods to the other captives. They had shared that they were trying to make themselves eat three meals a day and although this was hard it was important to them. They noticed in the story that the diet the boys had was made enough by God and they said they were encouraged to think that they could eat for God and trust Him for their health.
The diet was tried by Daniel and his friends for 12 days before the kings official would let them keep it. The person I was listening to had a holiday coming up that was for 12 days when they would be with other people so their meals would be in public. They took encouragement that 12 days of testing for them was coming up but God looked after Daniel and could look after them.
