Christmas Story
The Christmas Story was very popular and is still being talked about. People using the church building have taken photos of it, and someone brought their youngster in to see it. Every time I go to coffee, someone wants to know if it will be made into a booklet. A few people have said they would like to give it to others to read. The Christmas banner also went well. It was coloured in within days, and got a lot of people talking because of the way I'd portrayed Jesus. That led to a few comments around whether Jesus as a baby would have behaved like a ‘normal' baby. The men took ownership of the banner, putting in a few ‘in' jokes, and two of the Wise Men ended up wearing the colours of the two local football teams. I thought this was all absolutely fabulous. It was all done without my being there too, so there was something about this banner that had people hooked.
